The Raining Season

Kids at The Covering

The Raining Season consists of passionate individuals dedicated to Saving the Orphan, and improving the lives of those suffering in Sierra Leone, West Africa.TRS currently serves orphaned children and impoverished families in Sierra Leone. TRS utilizes multiple programs that include: orphan care, feeding programs, mission travel, and discipleship ministry. TRS hopes to meet and exceed the basic necessities required to sustain life, while ministering to the heart of each soul, resulting in true restoration.

Providing a hopeful future and seeking justice for the vulnerable children and impoverished families, in an effort to raise up a new generation, that in turn, bring hope for generations to come.

TRS currently operates a 24/7 orphan care facility in the capital city of Freetown. With 100+ children and 75 staff, THE COVERING requires continuous structure, vision and funding for the families who care for the children, and hope fir the children who have lost all they have ever known. Through nourishment, education, medical care, discipleship and the latest trauma therapy, each child who lives at THE COVERING has a chance to reach their full potential and heal from their broken past.

We move forth in an effort to rescue the orphaned and discarded through sponsorship, to empower the dreamer through education, and to restore the broken through discipleship. We embrace the heart of Matthew 28, raising a new generation, healed from the inside out…each life becoming a ripple of change, bringing hope for generations to come.

The future vision and expansion plans for TRS includes an orphan village in Bauya, Sierra Leone. It is our hope that on 125 acres of land, TRS will soon operate a sustainable program. This will include a working farm, a primary and secondary school, a place of worship, a medical clinic, and cottage homes that will eventually house 300 orphaned children.
