Planting Seeds
Planting Seeds was founded by Dr. Nicole McCauley who grew up in a highly food insecure home. She was determined that her past would not define her future and created a way for children to learn how to grow their own food and enjoy the fruits of their labor. Planting Seeds gifts schools educational classroom Tower Gardens and self-sustainable Tower Farms, all through the use of grants. We believe every child should be empowered and offered the opportunity to eat nutritious foods.
Planting Seeds creates opportunities for small to medium sized NPOs to become self-sustainable using our tailored business plan. Each need and each farm is different and presents different challenges so a Tower Farm is placed by Planting Seeds certified farmers on location. These farmers educate the NPO staff and set them up for success with continued access to technology updates and support. The produce grown is eaten by the families in need and excess produce is sold within their community to fund the NPOs needs. Planting Seeds uses renewable energy sources wherever possible and can aid in obtaining clean water sources when needed.
McCauley Foundation
Planting Seeds fills in the gaps for NPOs where The Juice Plus+ Company left off, with casting a vision, creating a tailored business plan, grant writing, training the dedicated Greenhouse Manager, Vertical Farm set up, providing educational materials and ongoing farm support. We supply a package for success. As a distributor of Tower Farms, Planting Seeds is compensated by The Juice Plus+ Company through the sale of the Tower Farm system. The proceeds from this sale are directed to The McCauley Foundation.
The McCauley Foundation, a Non Profit Organization, gathers and distributes donations from federal, state, local and private funders to place vertical and raised bed gardens in food deserts around the world, feeding and educating those who need it most.
