“I just don’t have time for self-care.”
Self-care isn’t something just for those with unlimited time or funds but is something that should be practiced regularly by all. Self-care shouldn’t be seen as a luxury but as a priority. What even is self-care, you may wonder? Simply put, self-care is the act of doing something to take care of your mental, physical, or emotional health. Self-care doesn’t have to be complicated, expensive, or time-consuming. It can be as simple as taking a moment to breathe.
When we take care of ourselves and show ourselves the love we deserve, we are better able to meet the demands of our ever-changing, stressful world and can take better care of those we love. It makes the world a better place and allows others to see that they, too, are important and deserve to care well for themselves. Everything is easier and more enjoyable when you are relaxed, stress-free, and taking care of yourself.
Not sure where to start? Self-care can look vastly different depending on the person. For some, it may be going to bed early or waking up early. For others, it might be an afternoon walk. For some, maybe a hot bath or a luxurious day at the spa. Even remaining consistent with counseling or doctor appointments is a form of self-care.
Still not sure where to start but a day at the spa seems a little out of reach with your busy schedule? Try 30 minutes in our Inhalation Room! It’s a relaxing spa experience without the time commitment or price tag. You deserve this.
